Through all of the extravagance that Brazil has to offer, such as the Amazon Rain Forest, Atlantic Ocean, Mount Roraima, or the sandy beaches of Rio de Janiero, one can easily find their inner explorer while traveling to Brazil.
A typical day for a vacationer to the South American country can be filled with adventure throughout the white-sand beaches, waterfalls, rainforests and red rock canyons, while the nights are filled with a plethora of samba. At the beaches, one can go kayaking, rafting, snorkeling, or surfing given that the tropical weather permits. But why stop at the beach? Brazil is also home to many cultural and art festivals. Not scared of heights? Take a cable car ride to the Top of Sugar Loaf Mountain where you can see Corcovado Mountain, Copacabana Beach, the Niteroi Bridge, and Guanabara Bay; surely having you plan your next flight to Brazil.
If you are one of those risky adventurous people, then try climbing the Sugar Loaf Mountain, a trek through the rainforest of Tijuca or hike past the peaks of Mount Rojaima. The Cristo Redentor (Christ the Redeemer) sculpture attracts visitors to the marvelous city of Rio de Janiero. Debatably one of the most upbeat cities, it is home to Carnaval, Copacabana, and Ipanema Beach. Carnaval is a city-wide celebration that takes place in Rio where people play music, dance, wear sequined costumes, and ride on festive floats throughout the city.
However, Carnaval does not only take place in Rio; many other cities in Brazil have their own version, but Rio is the most notable. Rio de Janiero is usually on everyone’s list of places to go as they visit Brazil due to its uplifting environment. In the Art Deco façade Copacabana Palace Hotel on the Copacabana Beach, one can find many popular faces; considering that plenty of Hollywood’s finest have visited this hotel, such as Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, and the Rolling Stones. To this day, the hotel continues to attract the famous. But that’s not the only place you can find celebrities…
Just up the coast of Copacabana is Ipanema Beach. Both of these beaches are very similar as they do have beach bars, bookstores, art galleries, shopping, dining, and a fascinating nightlife. However if you’re not in the mood for celebrity hunting, there is a less populated, family-friendly Lablon Beach. It is located near the Arpoador and Sao Conrado beaches, which are also popular with surfing. No matter where you go in Brazil, you are destined to have an amazing experience.
